奉獻 devotion

 奉獻於上帝並只是簡單的感情投注。

那便是堅定不執著及非常純淨的心緒‧

你必須要有羅摩耶那史詩(Ramayana)^註一中崇高的內在心的品質‧不然，只會升起短暫的癡迷情感，並無法獲得神性的覺知‧

奉獻將經由自我約束和道德的過程日漸成熟‧沒有任何的靈性修持可以在不執著於物這個修習中完成‧只有藉由不執著方能從萬物的世界中去觸及上帝‧

千萬別讓你的心緒溺於玩樂‧

註一:

印度兩大史詩、羅摩衍那和摩訶婆羅多。共分為七章，24,000對對句。

內容主要講述拘薩羅國王子羅摩和他妻子悉多的故事。《羅摩衍那》和《摩訶婆羅多》，是印度文化的基礎，對印度文學、宗教的發展有相當大的作用，據說中國文學作品中的《西遊記》亦深深受到它的影響。

Devotion: A Fruition of Detachment and Exalted Emotional Experience

   Devotion to God is not a simple emotion. It is the result of intense Vairagya and Sattvic Bhava. You should possess the good qualities extolled in the Ramayana. Otherwise, emotion may raise you temporarily to a kind of ecstasy, but you cannot experience the Devine Consciousness thereby. Devotion is a fruit which ripens gradually through the processes of self-restraint and virtue. There is no Sadhana for Bagavat-Sakshatkara without intense Vairagya. Only after detachment from the world of things, it is possible to have the attainment of God. Do not allow the mind to think of pleasure-centres.
