      讀報紙和煽情小說點燃一個人的天性,引出一個人粗野的舉動‧在腦海裡產生煽情的興奮感,讓思緒飄忽,以為這個世界是穩固、真實的,讓人忘記了真正的真實是在這些聲名和形式之上的‧不良環境,淫穢圖片,情愛的處理方式,電影院,劇院,動物配對的景象,話語間讓壞想法升起,

總之,大志者要避開這些讓邪惡的思想,和情緒感官升起的同夥,這些邪惡的組合和事物是有志者向上提升和靈性成長的最大災難。

Impacts that Constitute Evil Company

 

 

 

      Reading of newspapers and sensational novels kindles worldly Samaskars, causes crude movements in one’s being,  engenders sensational excitement in the mid, makes the mind outgoing , produces an impression that the world is a solid reality and makes one forget the Truth that lies underneath these names and forms. Bad surroundings, obscene pictures, plays that deal with love, cinemas, theatres, the sight of pairing of animals , words which give rise to bad ideas in the  mind, in short, anything that causes evil thoughts and sentiments constitutes evil company and therefore should be avoided and shunned by all aspirants. The effects of evil company and association with undesirable persons and things are highly disastrous to one’s upward progress and spiritual growth.

愉快和痛苦,得到和失去,活著和死去,善和惡是同一枚錢幣的正反兩面,有好就有壞,有生就有死,它們是相關連的‧

 

無知的人想要在世界一切都快樂,這是天真的和簡單的想法

 

歡樂和痛苦,活著和死亡是不能被分割,互相連接的‧

 

如果妳不想要痛和死亡,放棄感官的享樂不要過度的使用身體

Inseparable Pairs of Opposites

 

 

      Pleasure and pain, gain and loss, life and death, good and evil are the obverse and reverse sides of the same coin. Evil can not exist without good; life, without death. They are relative terms. Ignorant people want everything happiness in this world; this is simply puerile. Pleasure and pain, life and death are inseparably linked together. If you do not want pain and death, give up sensual pleasures and existence in physical limitations.

去尋找來自一個永恆不變的,無限的,和至高的喜悅世界‧

            Sensual enjoyment is attended with Various defects. It is attended with various sorts of sins, pains, weaknesses, attachments, slave mentality, weak will, severe exertion and struggle, bad habits, cravings, aggravation of desires and mental restlessness. Therefore shun all sorts of sensual enjoyments. Look out for an unchangeable, infinite and supreme happiness which must come from a Being in whom there is no change.

真正的自由和無法解脫的無知陷阱

 

        印度教和佛教皆一致認為Avidya(無知)是所有痛苦的根源.它造成眾多的問題。

 

人類已喪失和宇宙合一的天性‧現在人類發展出以自我中心的生活,將個人的喜好凌駕在社會福祉之上;發展了佔有欲和將每一個人視為自己的潛在敵人。

人依附著自然,依附著鄰居,簡而言之, 人類所依附的都是稍縱即逝的事物,人變成一個被分割的不完整的個人,被懷疑,恐懼,苦惱所折磨著‧

 

這個世界存在著不斷的恐懼‧

 

藉由信仰或宗教可以克服恐懼,它是失敗和死亡的解藥

 

我們不能用幻覺麻醉我們自己來驅散懷疑

而是需要用智慧來擺脫恐懼,得到真正的自由.

True Freedom and the Inextricable Snares of Ignorance

 

  Hindu and Buddhist thinkers, with a singular unanimity declare that Avidya (ignorance) is the source of or anguish and all our trouble. Man’s nature of oneness with the living universe is lost. He develops an egocentric view of life and puts his individual preference above social welfare; He develops an acquisitive instinct and looks upon every other being as his potential enemy. He clings to nature, to his neighbors, in short, to everything, which is evanescent. He becomes a divided being, tormented by doubt, fear, suffering. There is a split in his oneness. The world lives in incessant fear. Religion is the conquest of fear, an antidote to failure and death. We cannot dispel out doubts by drugging ourselves with illusions. True freedom from fear is gained by Wisdom.

懷疑是猜想一種不完整、或只是部分、也許完全沒有證據、或早已存在或即將發生的情況‧

這是說不通的想像或擔憂。

 

無知是懷疑的肇始。

懷疑蒙蔽心靈,製造朋友之間的破裂。它是不信任的。懷疑是一個劣質的心性和低下靈魂的印記。這個缺陷不在心理,而是在大腦中。

 

絕不要去懷疑任何人‧

讓別感到快樂,就如同你努力的讓自己快樂一樣‧

 

說一些有助益的話‧

給一些鼓舞的微笑‧

做一些仁慈的行動‧

做一些服務別人的事‧

在別人的顛波路上提供些平順的途徑、你將感受到極大的喜樂。

Suspicion and Its Beclouding Power

 

       Suspicion is conjecture with imperfect or with little or no evidences to support it, that something, especially something wrong, exists or is about to happen. It is unreasonable imagination or apprehension. Ignorance is the mother of suspicion. Suspicion clouds the mind, creates rupture among friends. It is mistrust and doubt. Suspicion is the mark of a mean spirit and a base soul. It is a defect not in the heart, but in the brain. 

     Never suspect anyone. Make others truly happy as you strive to make yourself happy. Speak a helpful word. Give a cheering smile. Do a kind act. Serve a little. render smooth a rough place in another’s path. You will feel great joy.

到一個安靜的房間,大聲爽朗的笑,讓憤怒化為泡影,單純的讓歡樂和笑聲吞沒憤怒。

或者穩定的坐著,從你的內心深處發送祝福和善意愛的波動到整個宇宙。

不斷重覆和平之途奧義書上的崇高詩句,您將滿溢宇宙的愛。所有的憤怒將全盤消失,持續不斷無任何私欲的愛將取代憤怒的情緒,這樣的感受是難以確切形容的。這樣的靈性修習將給你純淨和愛的正面價值。

甚至只是一些些的刻意去嘗試這種心緒轉換,之後你將發現一個完全不同的自己,

Sublimation of the Emotion of Anger

 

Anger and muscular energy can also be transmuted into Ojas. Should the wave of anger possess you, repair to a quiet room and have a good loud hearty laugh and make it effervesce into a pure upsurge of good cheer and laughter. Or sit still and send out wave after wave of love, of blessing and goodwill, to the entire universe, from the bottom of your heart. Repeat again and again the sublime verses of Santi-patha of the Upanishads. You will overflowing cosmic love. All anger-Vasanas will vanish in toto, leaving in their stead a continuous thrill of motiveless love. This feeling is indeed indescribable. This Sadhana will give you a positive asset of Sattva and Prem. You will find yourself a tangibly different being after even a single genuine attempt at this process of deliberate conversion.

    所有瑜珈練習的基本都是以道德的訓練和精進為主。從瑜珈的第一階段開始消除罪惡的根源和發展純淨的美德,瑜珈的第二階段是本性的自律,藉由正確的習性,和生活規律的奉行,築構一個穩定純淨的性格。良好本質的建立和美德特性是瑜珈更深層的紮根。


  在這個純淨道德的根基上,喚醒你內在的覺知和宇宙連結,不斷的思考宇宙大我,如同丁尼生註一說的:”讓你的聲音日以繼夜的昇起如同天然泉水湧出〞,這是真實靈性的練習和永恆的梵,它將會引導你自我的開悟。

Groundwork of Yoga-Practice


All methods of Yoga have ethical training and moral perfection as their basis. The eradication of vices and the development of certain virtues form the first step in the ladder of Yoga. The disciplining of your nature and the formation of a steady and pure character through a set of right habits and regular daily observances is the next step. Upon this firm foundation of a well-established and virtuous moral character is built the further structure of Yoga.


      Upon the basis of moral purity, awaken yourself to the conscious realization of your oneness with the Supreme Self. Think of the Self continuously. As Tennyson says: “ Let thy voice rise like a fountain for Me night and day.” This is the real spiritual practice of Brahma-Abhyasa. It will lead you to Self-realisation.
